Season Ranking — Rules
Earn points from tournaments throughout the season. Each organization or club defines a season with start and end dates.
How points are calculated
Every tournament has a level assigned by the organizer (Promotional, Standard, Elite or Premier) and that level defines how many points are awarded.
They're calculated as follows: the points for each match you won, plus a single bonus based on how far you went (champion, finalist, semis, etc.). Exact per-level values are detailed in section 02.
The formula
Levels & points
Levels are the four categories a tournament can fall into (Promotional, Standard, Elite and Premier). They determine how many points each tournament awards and how valuable it is within the season.
Every tournament has its own level, chosen by the organizer when creating it. A single season can include tournaments with different levels.
Per match won
Each match you win adds these points based on the tournament's level.
Bonus per stage reached
On top of that, the player earns a bonus for the furthest stage they reached in the tournament.
| Type | Promotional | Standard | Elite | Premier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Champion | +20 pts | +40 pts | +80 pts | +160 pts |
| Finalist | +15 pts | +30 pts | +60 pts | +120 pts |
| Semifinal / 3rd place | +10 pts | +20 pts | +40 pts | +80 pts |
| Quarterfinals (top 8) | +5 pts | +10 pts | +20 pts | +40 pts |
| Round of 16 | +2 pts | +5 pts | +10 pts | +20 pts |
| Group stage / early rounds | +0 pts | +0 pts | +0 pts | +0 pts |
Example
Juan plays a Standard-level tournament. He wins 4 matches and reaches the final. Total: 4 × 15 (per win) + 30 (finalist) = 90 pts toward the season ranking.
If that same tournament were Premier level, Juan would earn 4 × 50 + 120 = 320 pts.
Categories
The ranking is organized into separate tables by gender (Men and Women) and by category (4th, 5th, 6th…).
Each tournament adds only to its matching table: an Open (Libre) 4th-cat tournament (both men and women can register since it's "open") adds to Men 4th, a Women's 5th-cat tournament adds to Women 5th. Mixed, U-X, +X and Suma X don't contribute.
Men
Open (Libre) tournaments add to the Men leaderboard of their category.
Women
Have their own independent leaderboard.
Don't contribute
Mixed, age-restricted (U-X — U-18, U-21, etc.; +X — +35, +45, etc.) and Suma X divisions don't contribute to the season ranking.
Examples
- Pedro plays an Open (Libre) C3 tournament → his points go to Men C3.
- Ana plays that same Open tournament → her points also go to Men C3 (women playing Libre accumulate in the Men leaderboard, just like men do).
- Ana plays a Women C4 tournament → her points go to Women C4.
- Any Mixed, U-X (U-18, U-21, etc.), +X (+35, +45, etc.) or Suma X tournament → doesn't contribute to the season ranking.
Promotions / Demotions
An organizer can promote or demote a player from one category to another, granting initial points in the destination. The history in the source category is preserved.
Example
Lucas plays in C3 and wins 3 tournaments. The organizer promotes him to C2 with +50 initial points. He stays listed in C3 marked as promoted, and starts in C2 with those 50 pts.
